The Mile End Route - Victoria Park to Limehouse Basin
This is an alternative Section between Sections 5 and 6 of the Jubilee Greenway, starting from the south-east corner of Victoria Park and following the canal to join the Thames through a swathe of picturesque parkland, cutting through the very heart of the East which surely should never have an End.

The Mile End Route - Victoria Park to Limehouse Basin
This is the extra Section of the Jubilee Greenway. It leads from the easterly corner of Victoria Park (where Section 5 meets Section 6) and goes down to Limehouse Basin. It is a pleasant route, easy to follow, and affords a wide range of different views and ambiences.
Start at Victoria Park, but instead of entering the park, continue along the towpath of the Regent’s Canal, under Bonner Bridge (the main entrance to Victoria Park). Pass under Ford Road, where the canal becomes the Grand Union Canal, heading south. (The canal also leads left into the Hertford Union Canal and joins the River Lee Navigation.).
Stay on the towpath the whole way to Limehouse Basin. Pass under Roman Road, with Globe Town on the right and Bow on the left. Continue through Mile End, with Mile End Hospital and Queen Mary, University of London on the right. Then pass under the Mile End Road. Mile End Park is on the left. Pass under Ben Jonson Road, and the railway bridge (the District Line leading to Upminster). Pass under Parnham Street, Salmon Lane and Commercial Road.
Pass under Limehouse Link, and enter the harbour complex of Limehouse Basin. Here the canal joins the River Thames.
